The Scent of Change: Luminara Project

Project Overview

I never imagined a small idea born in my kitchen could spark such wide-reaching change. As the Founder of the Luminara – A Handmade Aroma Candle Project starting from January 2025, my journey began with a simple desire: to create eco-friendly products. The feeling of personally producing and distributing over 500 handmade candles from natural wax, while generating a total revenue exceeding 75,000,000 VND (approx. 3,000 USD), was a powerful validation of my effortsc and a lesson in sustainable business.

The Vision

But the true heart of this project lies in community connection. Organizing two major workshops taught me the power of sharing. At the Cát Lái Ward Women’s Union, seeing the hope and excitement of 40+ local women as they learned green entrepreneurship and practical skills like candle-making was deeply moving. Equally memorable was the Núi Tượng Village Stay, where the combination of Kalimba music and candle-making fostered an unforgettable cultural exchange for 30+ participants.

My Creative Process

The pinnacle was hosting a large Candle Workshop with 90 attendees, where I shared the project’s journey and watched people create their own personalized candles. Having Luminara featured in two national media outlets (baoquocte.vn, inde.org.vn), reaching over 20,000 online readers, wasn’t just a milestone—it was a powerful reminder that my small actions can inspire over 150 community members to adopt greener practices. It’s the magical intersection of creativity, business, and social service.
